About Us

ArtCycle is a non-profit organization. The initiative was started by an environmentally-conscious high school art student, who realized that two social issues could be addressed by coordinating local businesses with underfunded art programs.

According to a report by Americans for the Arts, 50% of schools reported having a budget of $0 to support arts education, and 79% reported spending less than $1 per student per year.
The US interior design industry generates more than 10.5 million tons of waste each year.
The fashion industry produced a startling 97 million tons of waste annually of which 18 million were leftover textiles.
Each year 92 million tons of clothing materials are discarded.
